Sorting out who was going to provide my support this evening proved a little tricky because most of my regular team had romantic plans.

The other day I wrote about how my tics had livened up an evening meal at the castle. Tonight it happened again. While I was enjoying a meal with Poppy and Leftwing Idiot I ticced a series of questions with a single theme – edginess:

Despite the stillness of the snow outside, this morning didn’t get off to a calm start at all. I annoyed Leftwing Idiot by bombarding him with questions as soon as he’d woken up and walked into the living room. Because I knew I’d irritated him I got upset and my tics overreacted.…

Snow’s falling heavily in London tonight. It started a few hours ago and there’s already a thick covering on the ground. I find snow unbelievably exciting even though it makes getting about much more of a challenge than usual.

It’s late but Poppy and I have just been out to enjoy the magical calm that falling snow brings, to throw snowballs at the lamp-post, and to make a snowsheep.…

I went swimming with Claire and Poppy this evening at the local hydrotherapy pool as I do most weeks. During our swim, and somewhat predictably, I had a ticcing fit. But despite the fit I felt incredibly peaceful, floating on my back in the warm water and staring up at the bright moon through the glass ceiling.…

When I lost my wooden model meerkat a couple of years ago I was sad, but it was probably a good thing as I’d started using it as a weapon to poke myself in the head with.

Last summer my tics suddenly took against Leftwing Idiot’s geranium for no apparent reason.

This season they have a different target and my night time routine goes something like this:

Brush my teeth, take my melatonin, get into bed, start verbally abusing the lamp-post:

“Lamp-post, stop glowing ostentatiously.”…

Yesterday I talked about my epic cry. This evening I laughed as I ticced about yesterday’s troubles, not mine though. Leftwing Idiot and Poppy were having a dance in the kitchen and I spontaneously accompanied them with a Tourettes version of a well-known song:

“Yesterday, all the shits in Bournemouth said hello to you.”…

For the second Sunday in a row I’ve ended up in floods of tears. I upset Leftwing Idiot at the end of last week and we didn’t sort things out until this evening. While we were talking things over I started to cry and once I’d started I found I couldn’t stop.…
