After several weeks of nail-biting uncertainty, we found out this morning that our bid to become an Arts Council England NPO was successful!

The process of applying was long and complicated and we had to work hard to make sure our access requirements were met along the way – so the announcement today comes as a huge relief for us all. It means we’ll be able to grow our team in the way that we want and continue to focus on our creative, research and solidarity programmes over the coming few years.

We’re also really pleased that so many other fantastic and innovative disabled led companies were successful too. At a time of great political and social upheaval it’s very encouraging to know that the disability arts scene in this country will be able to reflect, nurture and expand our experiences and our voice.

I want to thank everyone who has helped us to get to this stage over the last few years. Now it’s time to go and create!

A colourful digital drawing in a bold graphic style by Touretteshero of an assortment of biscuits such as pink party rings, custard creams, jammie dodgers and chocolate bourbons sitting under a lamp-post. Coloured squiggles and confetti are dotted throughout a golden sunset. The words NPO OMG! are written in black text below the lamp-post.
