Leftwing Idiot said he’d been talking to a friend about me and my special powers. She lives nearby but I don’t know her. She’d seen me in Morrisons at some point and remembered exactly how I bang my chest. Although she’d felt worried, it wasn’t because of me, but because of how everyone else in the queue was reacting.

Laura called earlier. She’s been reading the blog which she’s been enjoying. She told me that it’s made her think about Tourettes – and its impact on me – in new ways.

The organisation I work for runs a Go-Kart track, and this morning many of the Touretteshero team came together to give karting a try. Leftwing Idiot and King Russell had been keen to go for a drive and their enthusiasm and competitiveness escalated as soon as they got into their karts.…

I met Laura for dinner this evening. She told me more about how the young people she teaches were getting on with the Touretteshero project. Her students are producing artwork in response to my tics as part of their GCSE art course.…
