Being an aunty’s one of the best things in the world! I adore my niece Bean and we hang out together a lot. She lives just across the road with her mum, Fat Sister, and dad, King Russell. Now, excitingly, there’s a new addition to the household: my nephew, who’s appropriately named Sausage.

Sausage was born at home and is doing well, but Fat Sister needed some treatment in hospital after he was born so Bean’s being staying with me for a few days, and we’ve been having a lovely time despite some very early starts.

Bean’s thrilled with her new role as big sister. Both her mum and dad are younger siblings so being a big sister is something that she and I share. She particularly likes to talk about how I’m still her mum’s big sister even though she’s taller than me.
