This afternoon Poppy and I went swimming at our local pool. I haven’t been for ages and it was a bit of an experiment, inspired by my brief swim in Cornwall a few months ago.

The lifeguard was amazingly helpful. Poppy asked her for a hand while I got ready and both of them helped me get safely to the edge of the pool.…

Poppy and Leftwing Idiot came by earlier to pick up something from the lair:

TH: Some drawing, read the paper, have sex with an otter.

Leftwing Idiot: OK, when’s that happening?

TH: I’m going to wake him up.…

I’ve written recently about how frequently I’m dropping to the floor, and how this is making getting about difficult. Most tics are rapid movements, but what’s unusual about this one is that I’m finding it difficult to get out of it independently.…

A couple of days ago I mentioned that I’d be on my own for a few days while Leftwing Idiot, Poppy, Fat Sister and King Russell are away. Laura, Harry and Ollie are still nearby and my boss and friend Kyle have said I should call them if I need to.…

I’ve got a new tic that’s crept in over the last few days. Some of the words change but the rhythm is consistent and based on an electronic game called Bop It which I last played about ten years ago. Why it’s suddenly emerged in tic-form is anyone’s guess.…

It’s been a year since my Christmas tics started, and they’re still coming.

It’s my sister’s wedding tomorrow and I’m staying at her flat with Harry tonight. We’ve been having a laugh and excitedly getting everything ready. I made signs for the cake table using foam letters, but I kept sticking them on my head.…

This evening I went to Showtime, an amazing event put on by The Heatwave. It was brilliant, busy and loud. I was with a large group of mates so I had lots of people to help me.

The sound system was so loud that at one moment I found myself ticcing a whole verse of the Biscuit bear song.…
