This year Touretteshero has teamed up with television’s Liz Carr to bring you an urgent Christmas Appeal.

According to a survey by SCOPE, a staggering 67% of the UK population feel uncomfortable talking to disabled people – this is something we think needs to change.

Our campaign video tells the story of Mark. Mark was born with ‘hetero-normative-white-male-privilege’, a surprisingly common condition also known as being ‘normal’.

During this time of festivity and celebration, normal people like Mark will be denying themselves the opportunity to chat to anyone at all different from themselves.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. If you know someone normal who lives near you, works in the same office, or perhaps uses the same swimming pool, why not offer them a warm ‘hello’, exchange a few words, and help them overcome their privilege?
