Pita Patter

It’s not every day that I arrange to meet someone I’ve never met before in our tour bus in a deserted car park in mid-Wales. But it’s not everyday that I’m at the Machynlleth Comedy Festival in Wales having being interviewed by stand-up legend Arthur Smith.

So this morning I was excited to slide open the van door and welcome Arthur in out of the April hail.

We talked for 10 minutes or so about Backstage in Biscuit Land, Alan Hansen and pita bread. And like any good interview we ended on a song (about cats).

The interview will go out on Radio 4 Extra tomorrow but you can listen to it now, in its entirety, here:

We’ll be performing BIBL at Y Plas in Machynlleth this evening, with Arthur taking to the stage immediately afterwards. It’s anyone’s guess who will mention microwave poisoning first.
