Britain’s Most Inaccessible Crossing?

When Will and I went to use a crossing near the Albert Memorial the other day we found it had the usual dropped kerb on one side of the very busy road, but on the opposite side, two steps up to the pavement! Is this Britain’s least accessible crossing? It’s a busy area, full of tourists, and I can see that it’d be a tricky to sort it out, but nevertheless totally possible.

If you know of a crossing that’s worse than this, let me know by leaving a comment below.

The result of this brilliant bit of design was that Will and I had to go much further along the road to cross it, and then go further still to get to the next bus stop. But I’m glad we noticed the steps in time because if we hadn’t we could’ve ended up in a very dangerous situation, stuck on the edge of a very busy road.
