I’ve written before about how Laura’s complained that she doesn’t have a good tic name. Her married surname is Wareing and on her hen do my tics re-named her soon-to-be sister-in-law, “Two arms Wareing.” Her family still call her “Two arms,” and I have to admit to a touch of pride when I hear it used.

I was speaking to her on the phone earlier and she was explaining that she’d been shaving her legs. I ticced

“Laura Wareing Wolf.”

She seems surprisingly happy with her new name.
