Bus Encounters

I’ve been zipping about on buses all over the place today. On one a passenger in front of me gestured in my direction, and said, “I can’t believe they let people like them on the bus.” The man she was speaking to nodded in agreement. For once, I decided not to react.

Earlier on I’d spoken to a man who’d initially seemed to have a similar view to these two, but because he spoke to me rather than about me, it gave me an opportunity to explain about Tourettes. This led to a long and friendly conversation, making both our journeys a lot more interesting.
