I had my phone nicked this evening. Leftwing Idiot calmly helped me call the phone company, the insurance company and the police. I spoke to the first two but he made the call to the police. This turned out to be a good move. He explained that he was ringing for me because I had Tourettes, but despite this, half way through the call the very serious police officer at the other end still wanted to know why someone was swearing in the background.

I don’t think I’d have got very far into the call without Leftwing Idiot’s help. The problem with talking on the phone to people I don’t know isn’t so much that they get offended, it’s more that they think they are being pranked.
