A Lesson in Laughing

I met Laura for dinner this evening. She told me more about how the young people she teaches were getting on with the Touretteshero project. Her students are producing artwork in response to my tics as part of their GCSE art course. Laura explained that using my tics is turning out to be a great way of getting her students to think creatively about their work.

In previous years she’d started off with drawing activities or asked the students to respond to a more traditional theme and this had sometimes felt like a struggle.

I’m really happy to hear that this project is engaging students and staff and that it makes someone laugh every lesson. It’s amazing to see how people are getting inspired by all this squawking in unpredictable and unusual ways.
