Apologies and Understanding

It’s Thursday, team meeting day at work. Both the team manager and consultant were away so my boss’s boss, the head of CAMHS, came down to chair the meeting. I mentioned him a couple of weeks ago when he’d pulled me up for whistling at an away-day.

After the meeting he asked to speak to me. He apologised whole-heartedly for what had happened that day and said he’d felt bad afterwards. He went on to say he hoped he hadn’t embarrassed or upset me. I told him he hadn’t and that thanks to Tourettes I’m not easily embarrassed.
