I’ve had a busy day travelling across the city to meet up with various friends. I had dinner by the river and went to Ollie and Karen’s post-wedding party. It’s been a fun day shared with lots of different people.

Fat Sister’s back at the lair as she’s got a couple of days off after working night shifts. She’d bought me a present that I opened excitedly. She’d got me a hat – not just any old hat but a furry one with lopsided animal ears.…

I’ve just watched The Fog by John Carpenter with Leftwing Idiot. I don’t cope well with horrors of any sort because suspense and excitement tend to make my tics over react.

Despite the fact that he had me pretty comprehensively pinned down, Leftwing Idiot still stopped the film fifteen minutes in and said, “Seriously, are you going to be able to cope with this?”…

I finished work late tonight and arrived home tired and wet. I’d been invited out by Ruth and was meant to be meeting her in Camden. But I hadn’t been able to find anyone to come with me and didn’t feel like making the long journey by bus and tube without help.…

On my way to meet Laura and Hannah this evening I was stopped in the street by a man who asked me if I had Tourettes. When I said yes he said, “In that case I’ve got the cure.” He then offered to sell me some Cannabis, which I politely declined.…

I had an appointment earlier with a new Tourettes specialist who’ll be taking over my care. I took Fat Sister, who’s a doctor, with me. This was extra useful because, after the meeting, we were able to talk things though from a medical as well as sibling perspective.…

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been singing my, “I’m a baby” song. The full lyrics are:

This has been amusing many of my friends, particularly Leftwing Idiot who sings along.…

I stayed in Birmingham last night and slept on a friend’s floor between Leftwing Idiot and our mate Chiv. They’d both DJed at the event last night. Leftwing Idiot asked how much I was likely to tic during the night. I couldn’t tell him because it’s been a while since I slept in the same room as anyone else.…

I went to Birmingham early this morning to help out at Under the Arches, a launch event organised by some friends who’ve started an organisation called Access Events. They’re going to host creative events for people with and without disabilities.

Under the Arches was their first one-day festival.…

I’ve been wearing my superhero suit out and about all day. I’m used to people staring at me and laughing, so I wasn’t that fazed by the idea of travelling around London in my outfit. Interestingly, most people were more friendly and willing to talk to me than they are when I’m disguised in normal clothes.…
