This’ll be brief – it’s late and I’ve only just got home. I need to have some dinner before heading to bed but I wanted to write down my first thoughts about the evening I’ve just had before they fade.

An alternative version of the Bohemian Rhapsody, eight unconventional uses for peanut butter, some imagination-enhancing mental imagery, and a recipe for caramelised onion and peach meringue.

Not wanting any of these valuable nuggets to get overshadowed by events later on I’m recording them all here for posterity.…

I’ve just re-read the post I wrote on New Year’s Eve exactly a year ago and it reminded me what a decidedly rocky start I’d had to 2014. On Boxing Day last year the muscles in my hands unexpectedly and very suddenly seized up.…

As we speed ever closer to Christmas there’s festive spirit all over the place – something my tics have picked up on in their typically bizarre way. They’ve started going on about spirit levels!

Yep, as in the tool that lets you know if something’s level or not.…

I’ve written before about my obsession with the logo of a popular three-striped sports brand. For no clear reason I get a lot of pleasure from touching the trefoil with three fingers and saying ‘Boof’, or even better, touching two together to achieve a ‘Double boof’.…

At the beginning of last month we launched a competition to find the most popular of my tics. I’ve already got some established favourites myself like, “Replace every chimney in London with a penguin” and “I love it when a bear comes together.”…

I’m sitting on my bed to write this post. To my right I can see the garden bathed in wintry sun. To my left is my wheelchair with the remnants of the fake snow from our Christmas video-shoot last month still clinging to its upholstery.…

Unless you’re particularly grumpy at the moment you must’ve got caught up in the festive spirit, even if only a little. I’ve been working hard getting Christmas cards out and posting people their orders from our shop.

I’ve also been putting some finishing touches to this year’s Christmas video and I’m pleased to say it’s looking great.…

I was hanging out with Leftwing Idiot and Kyle at work today. The three of us go back a long way and we have a well-established history of doing silly voices together.

On our way back from lunch it was Leftwing Idiot’s turn – I can’t remember exactly what he was saying but I suddenly noticed he sounded a lot like Nina Conti’s Monkey!…

On Friday, Bunny, Fran, Jolie and I saw an incredible piece of theatre, Hopelessly Devoted, at the Roundhouse in Camden. The play, written by Kate Tempest, is moving, funny and thought-provoking. The characters are brilliantly drawn and the performances totally absorbing – I’m so glad I saw it.…
