I’ve had a pretty full-on day. A summary of it would look a bit like this:

Travelling, laughing, banging, confronting, sobbing, regrouping, eating, reflecting, relaxing.

But I suppose as a blogger I should put in a bit more detail, so here goes.…

My colleague told me earlier that she’d been really tired the other day and as a result she’d been saying some pretty random stuff. One of the children we work with had said she sounded like me when I do my tics.…

I was at the pub earlier with a group of friends including a mate who’s been staying with Leftwing Idiot over the weekend – she and her fiancé are both born again Christians. My tics inadvertently set her up for an awkward moment:

TH: I love fish.…

I went out to dinner tonight with Fat Sister, King Russell and some friends. I often worry when eating in restaurants because my tics sometimes make me spill or drop food.

Tonight I got really messy, but for once it had nothing to do with Tourettes.…

As we tucked into our meal this evening I ticced, “Hello dinner, I’m going to fuck you up.”

And that’s exactly what I did. Delicious.

I’m not used to hearing unexpected noises in public that don’t come from me. This morning on my way to work I heard a lovely sound being made by a builder working nearby.

He was on some scaffolding, and he sang as he lowered a bucket.…

Early this morning my mum arrived at the lair to drop off something. Over breakfast Fat Sister, who’s getting married later this year, started discussing plans for the flooring in their new home. Despite being an architect our dad’s reluctant to get involved with this.…

A couple of weeks ago I had a moan about my ‘Biscuit’ tic – it was driving me crazy. Tonight I thought I would redress the balance and celebrate some of the things funny I’ve said about biscuits recently:

“Blackpool-Upon-Biscuits.”

“It’s not Breast Cancer Week, it’s Biscuit Week.”…

I’ve had to go to two public meetings to do with my job in as many days. They were necessary but not massively exciting. At both my Tourettes tried its best to let everyone know how dull the meetings were. These were rare examples of when my tics try to give away what I’m actually thinking.…

I’ve mentioned before how I often struggle to get to sleep and just recently, how medication has meant I’ve had to battle to stay awake at all. Now I’ve stopped taking it, I’m struggling to get to sleep again.

Last night it took me four hours of frenzied ticcing before I could settle.…
