I’ve just woken up from a long and very refreshing sleep. The last two days have been amazing, but very hard work.

On Friday Leftwing Idiot and I finished work and headed straight to Battersea Arts Centre to do the first ever performance of Backstage In Biscuit Land, the show we’re taking to the Edinburgh Fringe next month.…

At the start of the week I travelled into town to take part in the BBC Ouch team’s monthly podcast. I’ve listened to these podcasts for years and it was great to get another chance to take part in this witty and thoughtful show exploring disability issues.…

I’m off to work in a little while, and until I finish later this afternoon today’s going to be a normal day. But tonight I’m going to be at the Battersea Arts Centre for the first ever scratch performance of Backstage In Biscuit Land!…

I looked at my calendar earlier and realised we’ve only got one week until our first scratch performance of Backstage In Biscuit Land! My heart skipped a beat, but I calmed myself down by remembering it’s just a scratch. However, it’s going to be my first one ever, so I really don’t know what to expect.…

That’ll be me then. I’ve done a few interviews recently as part of the lead-up to #BIBL, but I never know exactly when they’re going to show up. There’s this one in the Telegraph that came out last week, and I was pleased to hear from a friend this morning that they’d stumbled across another piece about the show in the Guardian.…

Today was the last day of the Glastonbury Festival and it was gorgeous in every way – the weather, the company, the dancing, and all the laughter.

To start with I went to watch Leftwing Idiot perform as DJ Rubbish with his old friends Cassetteboy.…

I woke up to the sound of rain gently beating against our tent. This soon stopped and Worthy Farm was bathed in warm sunshine, but not before I’d had my shower. It was an accessible shower, closed on all sides for privacy but open on top, which meant I had the invigorating experience of having a hot shower in the rain.…

Yesterday’s journey to Glastonbury was smooth and trouble-free. Remarkably we were able to get through security and into the Festival itself despite my tics going into overdrive the moment we got to the entrance. There’s a list of things you’re not allowed to take on site, which includes:

Glass bottles
Animals
People without tickets
Drugs
Fireworks

As the security staff checked our car and asked if we had any of these banned items, my tics announced:

“We have a Springer Spaniel in the boot.”…

Being a superhero is a tiring job, particularly when part of your mission is writing about it every day. So I’ve decided to take a break for a few days while I’m at Glastonbury Festival!

That being said, I’m going to be doing six shows there with the incredible Captain Hotknives.…
