Return of the Rebels
We’re a month away from Valentine’s Day, and if like Touretteshero, you and your family love inclusive, disabled-led, creative play, our event Return of the Rebels on Saturday 14th February is for you.

We’ve teamed up with the Whitechapel Gallery for Return of the Rebels, the second free, Rebel Play event that uses the positive play experiences of disabled children and adults as a creative springboard. Over thirty disabled people have contributed to our ‘How We Play’ archive, and we’ve commissioned five new artists to design play activities in response.
We’re excited to announce that our Return of the Rebels artists are: Christopher Samuel, Max Alexander, Mirabelle Haddon, Oona and Chris Dooks and BLINK Dance Theatre. Expect multi-sensory creativity and connection inviting you to explore what rebellious, inclusive play can be. Hang out in Christopher’s interactive story den, make your move with Mirabelle through dance workshops, send a sensory message with postie Max, get bending and balancing with Blink, enjoy an ‘Oonatina’ in Oona and Chris’s kid-friendly mocktail bar, and take a break in our artist designed chill out spaces.
Return of the Rebels will happen across two sessions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The later session is already full, but we still have spaces for the morning between 10am -12pm. This session is for those who might benefit from extra space, and you can book here.
If you can’t make the morning session and would like to be notified if a space becomes available in the afternoon, or if you have any questions, do get in touch.
