You’re Cold, You’re Wet, You’re Dark

This morning I was sitting down minding my own business when an entire ticced poem suddenly burst out. I quickly pressed record on my phone and managed to capture this:

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re the end of a song and the beginning of a dream.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re an avocado’s bum.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re the night sky.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re a urine covered lift.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re a toddler’s nappy in the night before the light goes on.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re the bottom of a lake in Sandwich.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
Bin juice.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
Pin stripe suits and gutters.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
Tory youth.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re the roots of a sunflower.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
The vibrator in your mother’s drawer.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
The noodles left over in the sink.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
Autumn nights and spring teeth.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
The bottom of a sandbank.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark;
The pebble on a cold shit.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re a dog’s fanny.

You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re dark,
You’re damp, you’re dark, you’re disco.
