My First Scratch

I’m off to work in a little while, and until I finish later this afternoon today’s going to be a normal day. But tonight I’m going to be at the Battersea Arts Centre for the first ever scratch performance of Backstage In Biscuit Land!

For the last few weeks I’ve been busy learning lines and rehearsing with Jess Mabel Jones (aka Chopin), Leftwing Idiot and Jolie. Poppy’s been busy making beautiful and amazing props and costumes and tonight we’re going to draw it all together and see what happens.

Speaking in public isn’t new to me but doing a scratch performance is, so I think it’s fair to say I’m feeling a bit nervous. There was a gigantic thunderstorm over London last night and this morning feels a bit less pressured as a result, so I’ve got a feeling everything’s going to be all right tonight.

It’s pay what you can for tonight’s show and it starts at 8.30pm. Please do come and join me in Biscuit Land if you can. I’d love to know what you think.
