Roll Up, Roll Up

Tickets for my Edinburgh Fringe Festival show Backstage In Biscuit Land go on sale today!

This very exciting landmark means Edinburgh feels even closer than ever. It’s also a bit daunting because we’re still creating and developing the show! But it’s taking shape and I can’t wait to start introducing people to the surreal and magical world of Biscuit Land.

I’ve been working on the show mainly with Leftwing Idiot and Jess Mabel Jones (AKA “Chopin”) but dozens of other great people have been helping us too. I’ve had loads of fun testing out ideas and thinking about how I can share my experiences in interesting and original ways.

Last week was a busy one:

On Monday we made a stack of audio recordings to help us pick out important themes and details and on Tuesday we transformed one of the walls in the castle into a space where we can map out our ideas.

On Wednesday I talked to a dolphin about how my tics felt, and on Thursday I helped a puppet have a fit. We were still going strong on Friday when I started writing love letters to my wheelchairs.

This week looks set to be another hectic, creative and enjoyable one. While we’re getting on with shaping Biscuit Land I hope you’ll be heading off to book your Edinburgh tickets. We’re doing sixteen shows from Friday 1st August to Saturday 16th. No two shows can be the same, so do book for as many performances as you fancy!

I can’t wait to get to the Fringe and if you’re able to make it, I hope to see you there.

Book your ticket here.
