I’ve mentioned previously the buzzer I keep strapped to my hand while I’m asleep so I can raise the alarm if I have a ‘ticcing fit’ during the night. I’ve also mentioned the recent reoccurrence of my face-hitting tic. Sometime in the early hours of this morning these two things came together, and I was woken suddenly by the buzzer hitting me smartly in head just above my eye.

I wasn’t hurt, just shocked because I’d been sound asleep.

It was certainly an odd way to wake up, but at least the alarm didn’t go off so the only person it disturbed was me.
